I’m a slacker

January 5, 2006 · 1 Comment

I’m a slacker on the whole blogging thing lately. I just haven’t had the time, it seems like my whole life revolves around work lately. Good thing I like my job, right? Because of that nothing exciting has been going on in my life. Of course there are all kinds of things going on in the world; dead miners in WV and the whole mix-up of saying that they were alive and giving the families false hope, more attacks in Iraq and VRE trains derailing in our area. EC when I heard about the last this morning I made sure it wasn’t in your area. Speaking of EC, I was thinking last night about whether or not you still go by EC?

Boo-Boo and I don’t have any plans for the weekend, all I know is that we have to be home in time for the Redskins (or Stinkskins as I call them) game on Saturday. My plans are to finish cleaning up our house and maybe I will be able to see my dining room table for the first time in a year and to trim up my rose bushes in front of the house. I neglected to do this last winter and they were totally crazy during the summer. I had to do all kinds of rigging to keep them from draping across the stairs and grabbing hold of people who tried to come in and out of the house. The other thing I need to do around the yard is trim the grape vines on the side of the house, the only problem is that I have absolutely no clue how to do so. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to add your two cents.

Did anyone watch The Biggest Loser Family last night? I wanted the Samuels to win because of the families story of the father getting laid off and then the mother being diagnosed with kidney cancer a few months later. Regardless of who won, everyone looked great and that is really the point of the show; getting healthy, losing weight, adding years to your life, all that good stuff. Well I am out of here and headed home. I have more episodes of the 2nd season of ER to watch before CSI and the current season of ER come on tonight.

On the Radio

December 30, 2005 · 1 Comment

This morning I was listening to some morning talk radio show and they wanted people to call in that transfer drugs and tell them about their “job”. This lady called in and said that she does it every Saturday. She picks up a box in Virginia and transports it to the same place in South Carolina every weekend where she deposits it in a drop box. She doesn’t know what drug is in the box because she isn’t supposed to open it and she doesn’t know who she is transporting it to. She said she started doing it eight months ago when her now ex-boyfriend got busted. The people knew and trusted her so they said that she could take over his drug trafficking responsibilities. She gets paid $8,ooo a weekend and says she has no intention of quitting because she is addicted to the money. Now get this, she was being all vague when she first called in but the longer they kept her on the air she revealed more and more about herself. By the time I lost the radio station I knew that she worked for the DOD (I love it that our country has drug lords working for them), she drove a minivan and her family thinks that the reason she goes to South Carolina every weekend is because she has a boyfriend down there. Now, I don’t necessarily believe what she was saying was true but I was just flabbergasted that someone would either be doing that or would think that was a cool story to tell.

Pregnant Skydiver Survives Face-First Fall

December 13, 2005 · Leave a Comment

Don’t get me wrong, I love to fly, but I won’t even consider skydiving. Just the thought of willingly jumping out of a plane creeps me out. I know many people do it and find it exhilarating but the only way I am getting out of a plane is if its wheels are on the ground and I have arrived at my destination. The questions is, why the hell would you skydive if you knew you were pregnant??? Read on and you will see why.
